Bolanle Austen-Peters, Okey Ogunjiofor, Chris Odeh, Funke Akindele-Bello, Biodun Stephen and Orwi Ameh have been nominated for the Best Movie (West Africa) at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
The continental award returns following a one-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The category recognises the best movies produced in the past year in the sub-region.
The last edition was won by Living in Bondage: Breaking Free produced by Steve Gukas in a category that had God Calling by Momo Spaine, Seven by Tosin Igho, Elevator Baby by Victoria Akujobi and Ratnik by Dimeji Ajibola.
AMVCA 8 will be a week-long event featuring a series of activities. The week-long event begins with the opening night on Sunday, May 7 and will run through May 14, when the award night will hold in Lagos.
