American Idol, believed to be the most popular show on American Television, is likely to be scrapped although no official statement has been released to that effect.
The show, created by Simon Fuller began 12 years ago, precisely on June 11, 2002 and today, it is a FOX network’s reality TV show. The show was introduced by Simon Cowell to the United States and turned into a household name by Ryan Seacrest.
Apart from being one of the most successful TV shows in the world, it is the platform that kicked off the career of artists such as Jennifer Hudson, Jordin Sparks, Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson among several others.
The speculation of the show’s cancellation was motivated by a tweet by Simon Cowell who was a judge on the show. Taking to Twitter, he said the show was a blast.
