The burial rites began with a night of songs at The King Church in Uyo while a burial mass was held on Saturday after which the skipper’s later mother was finally buried. The burial had in attendance, the Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Udom Emmanuel as well as top government officials.
Leading the football family was the President of the Nigerian Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, Joseph Yobo, President-General of the Supporters club, Rafiu Ladipo, Felix Anyansi-Agwu and a host of others.
