After emerging as the first black Miss world almost ten years ago, Agbani Darego has gone on to build a modelling career that continues to thrive. And, just like Oluchi, and other Nigerian models abroad, Darego has not for once stopped identifying with the Nigerian fashion, style and beauty scene. Now, we’re told she’s just sealed an endorsement deal with Recare Cosmetics International, owners of beauty brands Natures Gentle Touch and Hair Savvy.
To this effect, Ms. Darego has been officially appointed as a global brand ambassador for an undisclosed fee and number of years. Her responsibilities, according to a statement from Recare, would include participation in advertising campaigns and humanitarian activities organized by the company.
According to the CEO of Recare limited Africa, Chika Ikenga, talent and beauty seemed to have paved the way for her selection.
‘She is a talented woman and a role model to many which fits in with Natures Gentle Touch brand values’ said Ikenga who also noted that Darego would represent a number of products across the company portfolio.
“She is also internationally recognized and that is an important link for us to have, since we are a global brand. She truly embodies the spirit of Natures gentle Touch philosophy”, Ikenga added.
An obviously excited Agbani Darego now joins Natures Gentle Touch Face Oluchi Onweagba as its spokesperson, as she expresses her joy on this appointment.
