The Nigerian side were unimpressive as they faced the East Africans whose two first half goals were enough to defeat the Eagles. Dieumerci Mbokali opened scoring in the 7th minute which was doubled 24 minutes later by Jordan Nkololo.
The second half began with the Super Eagles struggling to contain the faster DRC side. The Super Eagles also conceded a third goal which was however disallowed by the referee after blowing an offside against the striker.
Super Eagles will also be playing Cameroon in Belgium in their next game this weekend.
