Gabon has emerged as the first team to record the first win at the ongoing 2015 African Cup of Nations tournament.
In the match played against Burkina Faso today, January 17, 2015, Gabon recorded their first victory in a 2 – 0 win to stay top of group A. This is following the draw between the host country, Equatorial Guinea and Congo in the tournament’s first match.
Goals from Borussia Dortmund striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the 19th minute as well as Malick Evouna’s 72-minute strike were enough to secure the 3 points at stake for Gabon.
