Super Eagles goalkeeper Austin Ejide resumed light training on Monday ahead of his return to full fitness.
The goalkeeper sustained the injury during a match against Rotterdam in Faro Portugal, according to the statement released by the Super Eagles doctor.
According to Super Eagles Media officer, Ejide was approved fit to embark on a swimming therapy by the national team medics and by Monday morning he was fit, although he is still being closely monitored by the medical crew to avoid a relapse.
The Nigerian team are due for South Africa today.
