Denzel Washington, who joins the sexagenarian club, is arguably the most celebrated African-American actor in modern Hollywood history and has 5 Academy Award nominations, two wins as well as a Tony Award for his distinguished career.
His career on the big screen has spanned nearly thirty years and includes forays into genres as diverse as thrillers, romantic comedies and dramatic biopics.
