Over the years, African music has seen some legendary artiste and producer collaborations that have gone on to birth greatness time and time again.
Geniuses have collaborated over time to repeatedly serve bangers to the fans while creating a working formula. Sometimes, the best versions of these artists manifest when they work with these producers and vice versa.
Afrobeats has had its fair share of artiste and producer collaborations, and here are some of them.
Asake & Magicsticks

Asake and Magicsticks are more than a match made in heaven. One can argue they are soulmates, even. Coming together to drop two of the best albums in Afrobeats history is no small feat, and even more impressive when you consider that Asake had little experience in the mainstream before their newfound love.
Many argue that the absence of Magicsticks on the majority of the songs on Lungu Boy was what made it different from the last two albums. Very possible. After serving us MMWTV and Work Of Art, we look forward to more from this duo.
Lojay & Sarz

Sarz has built a reputation for discovering new artists, giving them a platform and breaking them out to the mainstream and would probably appear a few more times on this list but the connection with Lojay was a special one.
From the first Lojay and Sarz EP that gave us hits like Love N Attn and Monalisa to Billions which is currently topping the charts, these two have found a rhythm to be sustained.
Show Dem Camp & Spax

With almost every SDC song you know comes an “If its Spax then its gotta be a classic” tag, and it always is a classic.
From Palmwine Music Vol 1, Vol 2, Palmwine Express, Clone Wars IV and more, Spax and SDC have not only forged one of the strongest producer-artiste collaborations but also built a sound pattern around themselves.
Seyi Vibez & Yo Dibs

YO DIBS! It’d be safe to assume that every music lover on the street knows this tag, and that is simply because of his chemistry with Loseyi. Chance put them on te map as a duo. and they have not looked back ever since.
Rema & London

While many passive listeners might narrow down Rema and London’s success to Calm Down, the duo go way back.
From records like Bad Commando, Soundgasm, and more. He produced 14 of 16 tracks on Rema’s debut album Rave and Roses.
Tems & Guiltybeatz

Tems and Guilty’s synergy didn’t just start from her debut album. They go way back. She once said she told Guilty to play all the beats she could never make so she could make If Orange Was A Place.
Working on almost all the songs on Born In The Wild, Tems and Guilty have found a pocket that works for them.
