50 Cent says that the cars and jewelry he displays on social media are not his during his court hearing on July 21, 2015. The rapper described his finances to a jury who will decide if he has to pay punitive damages to Lastonia Leviston, whose sex tape was posted online.
He said: ‘It’s like music videos, they say action and you see all these fancy cars but everything goes back to the dealership. The Hip Hop culture is aspirational.’
The rapper says that he owns only three gold chains and wears a plastic Casio G-Shock watch, not a diamond-studded Rolex and says his net worth is around $4.4 million, not $155 million as Forbes reports.
He admitted that he owns a 21-bedroom home on 17 acres in Connecticut and that he receives six digits for various appearances.
