
Former Super Eagles captain, Sunday Oliseh was on Wednesday July 15, 2015 unveiled as the new coach of the senior national team, Super Eagles of Nigeria. Here are 5 things you need to know about the new deal he signed with Nigeria Football Federation…
1. Sunday Oliseh signed a 3 year contract with NFF with an option of extension based on performance.
2. The NFF paid Oliseh 3 months salary upfront and will provide his accommodation for the period he acts as coach of the Super Eagles.
3. Oliseh will earn N5m naira monthly which puts his annual pay at N60 million, same as former Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi.
4. Oliseh has unveiled 3 other members of his coaching crew. They are Jean Francois Losciuto, Salisu Yusuf and Alloy Agu. Oliseh dropped former goal keeper trainer, Ike Shorunmu and replaced him with Alloy Agu who is also an ex-international.
5. Sunday Oliseh has insisted the NFF will influence his decision on team selection. Any player who wants to make his team would have to be a regular for his club which must also be competing in the top division of their leagues.
