The 2015 Emmys will take place at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre LA Live on September 20, 2015 and Andy Samberg has been announced as the host for the primetime ceremony which honours excellence in the television industry.

- Andy Samberg, whose full name is David A. J. ‘Andy’ Samberg is an American actor, comedian, writer, and producer.
- The 36-year old star was born on August 18, 1978, in Berkeley, California, United States.
- Andy Samberg was and remains a member of the comedy group, The Lonely Island alongside Taccone and Schaffer. They began writing for Saturday Night Live in 2005 and released their debut album, Incredibad in 2009.
- Samberg publicized his engagement to singer, Joanna Newsom in February 2013 and they married on September 21, 2013 in Big Sur, California, after 5-years of dating.
- Samberg has featured in movies such as Hot Rod, I Love You, Man, That’s My Boy, Celeste and Jesse Forever and Hotel Transylvania. He presently stars in the sitcom, Brooklyn Nine-Nine for which he won a Golden Globe in 2014.
