On Sunday (June 10), Nigerian reggae music icon Ukeleke Onwubuya known popularly as Ras Kimono passed away. The 60-year-old reportedly took ill on Saturday night and was rushed to a Lagos hospital where he died.

Ras Kimono was one of the pioneers of the reggae genre in Nigeria and used his music for social messages and to draw attention to poverty within the masses.
