Two Paris St German fans were reportedly stabbed following the Champions League clash against Barcelona on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Nou Camp.
According to reports, the two fans were taken to hospital after being attacked by two unidentified men wearing masks although one has been discharged while the other fan is still in the hospital responding to treatment.
A statement published on Spanish website, Mossos, gencat.cat has confirmed the incident and says an investigation is being conducted on the assault.
‘Mossos d’Esquadra’ police officers from the criminal investigation division in Barcelona – are investigating the assault of two PSG fans following the Champions League match held in this city last night.’
‘The first incident occurred around 11 at night in the vicinity of Camp Nou. A French citizen who left the game was approached on Felipe de Paz street by two individuals, in dark clothes and balaclavas and was stabbed.
A little later on and near the site of the first (incident), there was another similar incident on L’Avinguda Madrid de Barcelona. Three young people who had also come to watch the game were assaulted by several individuals.
‘One victim suffered a stab wound and had to be transferred to hospital, from where he has already been discharged.
Barcelona won the match 3-1 to finish ahead of PSG at the top of Group F.
