Last night, Twitter user @bush_igboboy narrated a near-embarrassing situation he encountered when he went out to purchase sanitary pads for a female friend.
He had requested for sanitary towels but got the shock of his life when he was given ‘pads’ instead. Confused, he started to argue and point out that a mistake had been made.
‘One of the funniest moments of my life was when I went to buy sanitary towel and they gave me pad and I was there arguing,’ he narrated.
After minutes of arguing, he decided to call his sister who cut the argument short, making the already tensed situation a little embarrassing.
‘…arguing that what I wanted was sanitary towel and not pad. I had to call my sister and she laughed and said, ‘Na the same thing nah.”
When asked if his sister had been the one he’d gone out to purchase the pads for, he said it was someone else who he didn’t want making fun of him as that would have been more painful.
‘Oh and I wasn’t buying it for my sister. Just didn’t want who sent me to laugh at me. That one for pain.’
‘You were expecting something at least the size of a face towel, abi?’ One sympathetic man asked him, to which he replied:‘YES!!! AT LEAST.’
Thankfully, that was two years ago and he has since learnt his lesson.
