
He collapsed on stage during a concert at the Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton, Canada on Thursday, June 16, 2016.
The 68-year-old was reportedly performing his 1993 hit song, ‘I Will Do Anything For Love’ when he fell to the floor and appeared to lose consciousness. His bandmates rushed to help him before the singer was taken to hospital.
Recall that Congolese musician Jules Shungu Wembadio Pene Kikumba otherwise called Papa Wemba collapsed and died while performing on stage in Ivory Coast two months ago.
This is not the first time Meat Loaf has collapsed on stage. In 2011, he was able to continue his concert in Pittsburgh and finish the show after becoming unwell but in 2003, after collapsing at Wembley Arena in London, he was admitted to hospital. No Fields Found.
