After campaigning for several weeks, Tony Tetuila ended his ambition of seeking a seat at the Kwara State House of Assembly in a quiet manner.
In an interview with Sahara TV, the veteran music star set the record straight by saying he didn’t lose but rather stepped down during the primaries.
‘Let me say this, indirectly I actually stepped down before the primaries….At least he is capable for the seat now which I’m giving all my support for him as an indigene and as an artiste and a person that’s from the same constituency,’ he said.
While saying he is a loyal party man, Tony said he stepped down because he still has things to learn in politics.
‘I used to be a musician and now I’m going into politics. I believe I still need to learn more. They said fine, no matter how you are going, you are part of us. That’s why I love the party, APC. They showed me the way and told me no matter what, I’m a part of them,’ Tony said.
