Lyrikal has assumed the number one position on Port Harcourt rap list with the release of his new mixtape O.C.D (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder).
The tape consists of 18 tracks including an intro and samples from Davido, 9ice, Jay Z, Eminem, Drake and 2 Chainz. Features include Eva, Shank, Jazzy, Korkormikor, KO, The Veteran, and Young Stunna.
A rap veteran by all rights, Lyrikal delivers some of the most thought provoking lines we’ve heard in 2014. From throwing jabs at fellow rappers to differentiating himself from the average emcee.
‘I decided I go show them, I decided to transcend trend/the means justify the end, I too real, I no fit pretend‘, Jesse James (real name no gimmicks) raps on ‘Port Harcourt‘, a remix of Jay Z’s ‘Tom ford‘.
Lyrikal also ditches the usual, somewhat boring complex rap banter by simplifying his verses, infusing it with Pidgin English.
