Reekado Banks professes love for Unilag despite mob attack

Mavin act, Reekado Banks has taken to Instagram to douse the tension of an attack he suffered yesterday, August 11, 2015. The singer was attacked by students of University of Lagos after he headlined the SWAG (Something We Akokites Got) show in the institution.

Organised by popular disc jockey, DJ Kentalky, Reekado thrilled guests at the event but got into trouble after his performance as he was mobbed by a crowd of students and other music lovers who demanded money from him. NET gathered that the ‘Katapot‘ singer threw some money into the crowd but that only drew a larger crowd.

So bad was the situation that his gold chain was almost stolen in the process but for the intervention of his manager. As his team tried to whisk him away, his windscreen was smashed by an unidentified student. Sources say he was at his alma mater with only his manager and a couple of friends.
