The award-winning beat maker, real name Eric Isaac Utere, got a lot of stick for the way he replied an unnamed fan (also an up-and-coming producer) who requested his help.

‘Hello sir…am a music producer n I make beats….can I have ur email so I can mail my beats to u,’ the fan had written in a private message to Leriq.
Leriq who had simply replied the fan’s message with ‘I make beats too’, then deemed it fit to share the screenshot of the conversation on his Instagram with the caption: ‘Send your beats to those who need it bro’, much to the chagrin of his followers who didn’t spare him harsh telling-offs.
