
Yesterday, March 24, 2017, it was reported that Nollywood actress, Omoni Oboli had been served with court papers for allegedly ‘stealing’ the script for her new movie, Okafor’s Law.
Jude Idada, a Canada-based writer alleged that Oboli took the work he had done regarding Okafor’s Law and developed it without giving him due credit or remuneration.

Oboli and Filmhouse Distribution were left with no other option than to cancel the premiere of Okafor’s Law, yesterday, following the court injunction which arrived one hour to the premiere of the film.
Addressing the invited guests at the IMAX Cinema, the mother of three broke down in tears as she insisted that the script and movie were created by her.
Many Nigerians took to social media to vent their opinion after news broke that the premiere, which cost millions to put together, had been cancelled.
