As part of activities to mark Nollywood’s forthcoming 20th anniversary, Nigerian Entertainment Today has gathered that a section of the film industry is planning to construct a Nollywood village.
According to the President of the Association of Movie Producers (AMP), Zik Okafor, who disclosed this to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday the aim is to have a structure which will hold television actors, different guild associations, creative designers and other professionals in the same environment.
‘We want to set up the Nollywood house, build a magnificent edifice with the inscription `Nollywood’ on it as they have in other climes, so that when anybody comes to Nigeria, there is a place they can go and say this is Nollywood village and can get what they want in one place’.
Okafor says the site for the proposed village will be announced during the anniversary.
