We have been unwilling to increase our cover price for years, even when it seemed the last resort in the face of economic realities.
In 2012, we reduced the cover price from N100 to N50, a move that was unheard of in the newspaper industry. The simple reason was to ensure our readers enjoy more value, paying less.
However, with the rising cost of operations occasioned by adjustments in exchange rate, harsh economic conditions, rising cost of printing and unstable business environment, we are forced to increase the cover price to N100.
