Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, Olamide and 2Baba, some of Nigeria’s biggest acts, are nominated to be NET Honours ‘Most Popular Musician (male)’ this year.
Each nominee in this category is a powerhouse with a strong fanbase. Last year, Wizkid picked up the award in this category, but it’s left to be seen if the globally-respected pop star will go home with the prize again this year.
Burna boy scored his first Grammy nomination early on in 2020. Wizkid shut down the O2 Arena in October 2019. Davido released his commercially successful A Good Time album, and 2Baba maintains his legendary status with sold out shows and industry respect. Olamide has dropped hits upon hits and hasn’t lost his street cred and influence.
