Chris Okotie’s ex-wife Stephanie Henshaw has finally broken her silence about their separation, which was announced on Sunday, June 24, 2012.
The mother of three took to her Facebook page to pour out her feelings over the divorce and the circumstances that led to it. Surprisingly, she had no harsh words for Okotie, who announced their separation during the now-famous June 24 Sunday service at his ‘Household of God’ church.
Henshaw talked about her time spent with Okotie and insinuates that it was the ‘church’ who were responsible for their breakup.

Today makes it three weeks I asked for a separation and a week and four days I packed out. ROMANS 8:28 ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER, FOR THE GOOD OF THOSE WHO LOVE GOD AND ARE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE FOR THEM. I’m as shocked as most people, as there has not been an argument in my home in over a year, we have been as happy as everybody thought we were. I wait, because I Know in time GOD will make known what has gone wrong.
Twenty years I have known a man, fifteen years we have been the closest friends, I prepared all his meals for ten years including the four years we were married, the day I was asked to leave I prepared his meal, I served it and left, for four years he never fell ill, but today I’m called all sorts of names, witch, mermaid spirit. I have served JESUS with clean hands and a clean heart, I have loved all that have come my way and if I don’t live through this pain and hurt, as sure as Jesus lives my children will see my vindication.
I submitted to the end, I did all I was asked to do, Lord I left that home blameless before u, I have loved, but have not been loved, I have given and not received, but that is contrary to your word so today I ask your word be made manifest in my life.
Lies, not from the world but the church, accusations not from the world but the church, where are the spirit filled Christians, the ones who fear and hear the lord. My husband loves and adores me, he is not the one saying these things, the enemies from within, who hate me, they hate the grace GOD SHOWED ME. Though we humans ar nt suppoz 2 judge bt dis story is unbliveable cus pastors or ministers of God ar suppoz 2 leav examplary lives, so in my own view i dnt tink pastor chris okotie is rite abt dis.
From what we read on her facebook page, she said she was was asked for a divorce, so why are you misrepresenting her in the press statement? Journalists should endeavour never to misrepresent abeg!!

Rev. Chris, though a human, should live above speculations from ‘seers’ in his church that do not want his happiness. He should think of the future of his kids and get reconciled to his wife, except he desires his generations to suffer a similar or even worse fate in their own time. I believe he loves his kids.
You should have asked your husband, what has led him to this. If we have the chance to talk to your husband, he too would have some more pathetic story to tell about your behaviour, but if he has not, then you should pray over it, and let the Good Lord to take control. God bless you.

It is not in my position to judge. I leave that to God. However I hate it when people just talk for the sake of it. U all heard and read dat pastor chris told her about d divorce and not the other way round. Yet some people are advising her to go back to her husband. Go back to where?na she go take herself back? If anything, this advise should be for pastor chris.
So if anyone here has nothing reasonable to say,let him or her read and pass. Stephanie cannot possibly “pack and go back to her husband” because she didn’t ask for the divorce. She was forced out. So how does she go back?
as it is written in the bible that he who finds a wife is favoured by God,pastor chris okotie should try to reunite wit his wife in order to site as a gud example 2 to is congregation.
The matter between Rev.Okotie and his second wife is very unfortunate.It is a sad commentary on christianity but the wise will learn some lessons .Okotie,no doubt,is in a mess that no rhetorics can clear.It is the responsibility of true christian to pray for a tempted,troubled and confused brother.
