Rising Hip-Hop crew BeatBuxx360 Entertainment have released their third compilation, this being a solo effort from the group’s first lady Ms. Chief.
The talented rapper’s debut project – a 12 track music project is titled ‘The Boss Lady EP‘.
Ms. Chief lives up to title as she comes out spitting fierce like a raging bull in a china shop; a little too over the top but just enough to command your respect. She clearly understands her strength and plays towards it – bragging and flossing with just the right attitude.
She doesn’t come off soft though as she’s easy to remind her listeners that she is just as tough as her male counterparts in her clique. While she balls hard and parties on ‘Changed‘ and ‘Bad‘, she gets her hustle on tracks like ‘Soldier‘.
Ms. Chief calls on help from her BeatBuxx360 crew as well as producer Ex-O, Yemi Alade, Kel, Zara. A nostalgic ‘Like Friday‘ featuring Dagrin brings the nostalgic feelings back.
Don’t however expect to get that ‘Hip-Hop’ high on this EP, rather than have a cliche theme on her debut, Ms Chief infuses some sensible Pop styles. Clever move.
In conclusion, while we hope she improves on her lyrical content, this will be very sufficient for fans who haven’t been blessed with any publicized female rap compilation since Kel’s ‘The Investment’ in 2009.
