Ebuka took on the first Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye live eviction show tonight, but there were no goodbyes.
After the ladies and gentlemen of the house settled in last Sunday, Big Brother threw in the second twist of the season. He told them they had a week to figure out two wildcards in the house. If the housemates successfully figured out who the wildcards were, they would be evicted immediately. Failure to do so meant the wildcards got to stay in the house and play the game to win the grand prize.
The housemates investigated, questioned, and tried hard to figure out who the wildcards were all week long. The viewers were not left out in the guessing game. That is, until Thursday when Biggie revealed that Maria and Pere were the wildcards. The housemates still didn’t know this, and Maria and Pere did a great job keeping their secrets hidden.
This evening, housemates were asked to tell Big Brother who they believed were the wildcards. The majority of the house chose Liquorose and Jaypaul and were very far from the truth. During the live show, Ebuka asked the wildcards to reveal themselves. The housemates were surprised to find that Pere and Maria were the wildcards. Surprisingly, they weren’t upset that they had been deceived, just impressed.
Ebuka then charged the housemates to get more entertaining. He reminded them that they had promised vibes, but some of them were falling short on their promises. He also admonished them to stop comparing their game to previous seasons and just enjoy the ride. As always, he left them with a pidgin adage saying, “You know say person wey no dey see still get vision. It’s very important that you focus. Which is why this season is called ‘Shine Ya Eye’. Keep your eyes focused on the game.”
Pere and Maria will have exclusive nomination powers tomorrow night when housemates exercise their nomination rights for the first time this season. Nominations will begin after the Head of House game scheduled for 6 pm.
