Kenya topped the winners list at the World Travel Awards Africa regional finals which held on October 16, 2013.
The Gala Ceremony hosted by Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) at Safari Park Hotel and Casino, Nairobi, saw Kenya scooping over 20 top African awards; including Africa’s Leading National Park ‘Masai Mara National Reserve’ Africa’s Leading Airline Business Class ‘Kenya Airways’, Africa’s Leading Tourist Board ‘Kenya Tourism Board’ and Africa’s Leading National Reserve ‘Masia Mara National Reserve’
Other prizes include Africa’s Leading Hotel Brand ‘ Serena Hotels’, Africa’s Leading Travel Management Company ‘Travel with Flair’, Africa’s Leading Green Hotel ‘The Aberdare Country Club’, Africa’s Leading Eco-Lodge ‘Il Ngwesi Lodge’ and many others.
President and founder of World Travel Awards, Graham E. Cooke said ‘the award which aims at acknowledging, rewarding and celebrating excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry was held in Kenya to portray Africa as a premier tourist location’.
The various regional winners will proceed to the grand finale, which takes place at La Cigale Hotel in Doha, Qatar, on Saturday, November 30, 2013.
