And they saw Nigerian soccer stars Kelechi Iheanacho and Alex Iwobi shine for their respective clubs.
Iheanacho equalised for Manchester City in their 1-1 draw with Scottish side Celtic, who opened the scoring after four minutes through Patrick Roberts; a player on loan from Man. City.

City have now qualified for the knockout stage of the competition, finishing second in Group C, six points behind Barcelona that thrashed German club Borussia Mönchengladbach 4-0 in the other group match.
Meanwhile, Arsenal star, Iwobi followed up Lucas Perez’s hattrick with a goal of his in the Gunners’ 4-1 win at Swiss team, Basel.
The north London club finished top of Group A with 14 points as a result, two points ahead of PSG that forced a 2-2 draw at home to Ludogorets.

So far, 14 teams have confirmed their place in the knockout stage, with the remaining slots to be decided after Wednesday’s round of matches.
The Round of 16 draws will be announced on December 12 at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
