Jimmy Winfrey, the alleged shooter of Lil Wayne‘s tour bus in April, is claiming he didn’t have a motive for trying to kill the rapper.
An indictment named Birdman and Young Thug as conspiring to kill Lil Wayne.
According to TMZ, Winfrey admitted that he is friends with the Atlanta rapper, but cited the fact that Thugger holds Wayne in high esteem as evidence that he would not try to kill him.
Winfrey’s representatives use a football reference to make their point.
