Bola Davies, the 46-year-old Oyo/Osun Bureau chief of leading soft-sell magazine, City People died in Akure on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 after a brief illness.
Thenetng has now confirmed that Bola battled breast cancer until her death.

Bola, the popular Deputy Editor of City People Magazine well known for the Ibadan gist section, was diagnosed with the ailment early this year and has since been in a hospital since June 2016 receiving treatment for the ailment.
City People Magazine publisher, Seye Kehinde confirmed the news of her death to Thenetng saying, ‘It’s a sad development.’

He went on to say, ‘She has been ill for a while but we were all optimistic that she would get out of it hale and hearty, but she gave up yesterday.’
Late Bola Davies will be buried in her home town on Friday, October 21, 2016.
