It has been revealed that Leicester City’s players who consigned Manchester United to an embarrassing 5-3 on Sunday, September 21, 2014 were blessed by Buddhist monks just before the match.
The premiership match, which had the Red Devils as United are also called, leading the score line 3 – 1 during first half, saw the former division 1 team come back into the game to record a remarkable win which is believed to have come through the help of the monks.
It was also revealed that two Leicester’s scorers, David Nugent and Jamie Vardy wore necklaces featuring Buddha figures with their manager Nigel Pearson who was left pleading with the monks to visit the team in their league game weekly.
Pearson said: ‘You can come every week!’
The Buddhist monks, were flown in by the club’s Thai owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha who brought them all the way from the Far East previously to attend the training ground and conduct ceremonies, according to reports.
