Hours after arriving Lagos, Nigeria, on the 25th of May 2018, Legendary Argentine striker, Hernan Crespo gave four football fans a major surprise visit at their offices and handed out exclusive premium invites to the viewing of the UEFA Champions League final match at Ocean View Ground, Eko Hotel and Suites courtesy of Heineken.
Can I hug you, please? Those were the words of Emuobosa Akpene, a lady with an enormous passion for football when Hernan Crespo visited her office and gifted her with an exclusive invite. For some few seconds, it was hard to get Adeyemi Soyombo, an Assistant Manager at Skye Bank calm soon as he laid his eyes on Crespo. ‘This is huge’! ‘I can’t believe it’. ‘I won’t stop hugging you’. What a lucky fan.
Habib Hamzat of CNBC Africa was extremely ecstatic, he had to call his friends to watch and take pictures. ‘I love you Crespo and I will definitely come to watch the match with you.’ The final lucky fan was Sylva Nze Ifedigbo who almost passed out when he found Crespo, photographers and videographers outside his office. For several minutes, he kept chanting, “Wow!” He was too stunned to say more. The legendary football star joked with him, handed over his invite and left the fan speechless.
It was extremely intriguing to watch football fans reaction to Crespo’s visit and Crespo’s bond with each fan so quickly and genuinely.
