The exclusive launch party for the Real Housewives of Lagos held at Jewel Aeida on Saturday, April 2, 2022, and it was just a sneak peek into what fans of the show can expect to see when it premieres.
The party was luxurious, extravagant, and all shades of glamorous. As a treat for the guests, they aired the show’s first episode, and proved that the first season of RHOLagos will be one for the books.
Here’s everything the viewing at the launch party proves fans should expect when the show premieres on April 8:
1. All the bling-bling: From the first scene of the episode to the last clip guests saw, everything was covered in bling. This signifies that the show will have a massive display of wealth and riches. Each housewife’s house looks fit for royalty, their closets will make most ladies weak at the knees, and the amount of jewelry they own may oppress simple-minded people. At the end of the day, RHOLagos will only encourage fans to live vicariously through the show’s women.
2. Impeccable fashion choices: If there’s one thing you can always expect women like Iyabo Ojo, Tiannah, Chioma Good Hair, Mariam, Laura Ikeji, and Carolyna to do, is ‘slay’. And they brought their A-games to every scene we saw. There’ll never be a fashion-dull moment on the show, and we are excited to see all the looks the housewives pull off.
3. Controversial statements: These ladies have never been afraid to speak their minds, and a few cameras will never change that. You’ll hear everything when the show premieres, from the nastiest things to the most elitist statements. Either way, fans need to prepare themselves to hear some of the most shocking opinions and ideologies as the women of RHOLagos are not holding back.
4. The craziest girl fights: It’s impossible to throw six women from entirely different backgrounds in a group and expect them to make it without conflicts. Rich or not, the real housewives are surprisingly just like every other female, and they are not afraid to throw it down. The ladies had some of the most jaw-dropping fights we’ve seen in Nigerian reality TV history, but even those were entertaining.
5. A little gossip: What’s a reality show without gossip? Boring! And the housewives are anything but that. So, viewers can expect to see some gossip, denials, confrontations, and other jazz that comes from talking about your friends behind their backs.
6. Straight-up chaotic drama: If all of the aforementioned didn’t already tip you off, this show is 100% drama and nothing else. Every second of the first episode we saw just screamed ‘More drama to come!” and guests were visibly bursting with excitement.
Fans of the show have also shown just how excited they are on social media, with countdowns even starting. The show premieres in precisely five days, exclusively on Showmax, and it seems no one can handle the wait.
