Nollywood actress Funke Akindele and the man who stole her heart Kenny Almaroof Oloyede are currently exchanging vows at their traditional wedding ceremony taking place today, Saturday, May 26, 2012 at The Haven event centre.
The ceremony kicked off at around 12 noon with the bride and groom arriving 30 minutes apart. The couple’s parents are both in attendance as well as close friends and family members.
Guest are still trickling in – but the celeb count is on a low. Many attribute this to the change in venue – it was earlier announced that the venue was the All Season Plaza Ikeja only for guests to meet the gates of that property shut. We’re told the announcement of All Seasons was a decoy to prevent media and public intrusion.
The traditional ceremony is being officiated by ‘Sokoyokoto’ TV presenter Foluke Ogunjimi.
A quick christian ceremony was officiated by Rev. M.O Ogunsoji. The reception is being anchored by popular comedian-host Gbenga Adeyinka.
Celebs who have made it down to The Haven include eLDee, Femi Brainard, Ireti Osayemi and a handful of other Nollywood actors
