The Court of Appeal, Lagos, today, Friday, February 1, 2013 has reaffirmed the conviction and death penalty passed on Reverend King by a Lagos High Court, Channels TV reports.
The Embattled General-Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly, Chukwuemeka Ezeugo failed to overturn the death sentence earlier passed on him by Justice Joseph Oyewole of an Ikeja High Court on January 11, 2007.
Reverend King was arraigned on September 26, 2006 on a six-count charge of attempted murder and murder of church member Ann Uzoh.
