Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated Atlas Lions of Morocco by 4 goals to 3, after a pulsating 120 minutes of football in the Quarterfinals of the on-going Championship for African Nations (CHAN) tournament in South Africa.
The Moroccans were 3 goals up after 45 minutes but the second half was a different game as the Eagles scored 2 goals in the space of 10 minutes; first through midfielder Uzonna Ugochukwu, while Rabiu Ali got the second goal in. But the spectacular come back was completed when player of the tournament so far Ejile Uzoenyi scored a outstanding equalizer from outside the box with just 2 minutes from the end of the match.
The match went to extra time and substitute Umar scored the winner in the 114th minute after the Moroccan keeper let the ball slip past him.
The team will now meet the winner between Ghana and DR Congo.
