Nigerians worried about having an overly strict president who doesn’t know how to unwind or have fun can be rest assured as the APC presidential flagbearer, Muhammadu Buhari turned out at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos yesterday, December 24, 2014 to enjoy a part of this year’s edition of Saro The Musical.
Gen. Buhari attended the event in the company of Senator Adeleke Olorunnimbe Mamora, Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi and other chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to the producer and CEO of Terra Kulture, Mrs Bolanle Austen-Peters, Saro The Musical makes a return after its first outing last year. Supported by Mok Art & Media Production and Terra Kulture, the musical boasts a 100-man cast and will deliver 10 outstanding performances in 5 days, all taking place at the prestigious Shell Hall of MUSON Centre in Lagos.
‘This year’s show is delivering an even bigger showcase of dazzling performances in lovely and colourful costumes, enigmatic and well-choreographed dance steps, and an exquisite fusion of jazz, afro-beat, hip-hop, highlife, juju, apala, and such other contemporary Nigerian music genres.
The story line has not changed but, the experience they garnered has changed, so we are infusing new young and experienced cast like Bimbo Manuel, Gideon Okeke etc, to boost the production in a better way. And with the able support by Access Bank, African Magic, Etisalat, it is going to be a total drama and total theatre,’ Austen-Peters disclosed.
