The daughter of Whitney Houston was rushed to hospital in Roswell, Georgia, on Saturday, January 31, 2015 after being found unresponsive in a bath by her husband, Nick Gordon, and her dad has confirmed she continues to receive treatment.
In a statement issued by the singer-songwriter’s lawyer, he said: ‘Privacy is requested in this matter. Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time.’
However, the 45-year-old recording artist – who is currently at his daughter’s bed-side at North Fulton Hospital – added they will not be releasing details about Bobbi’s condition any time soon.
The statement continued: ‘The report that Bobbi Kristina Brown has been taken to the hospital in Atlanta, Georgia is accurate. No
additional information will be forthcoming.’
New information about the aspiring musician – reported by TMZ to have ‘significantly diminished’ brain function and has been placed in a medically induced coma, indicates she had become ‘obsessed’ with the anniversary of her mother’s death on February 11, 2012 before the incident.
Talking about the 21-year-old woman’s feelings towards the anniversary of Whitney’s death, a Houston family insider explained: ‘She was seemingly obsessed by it – strangely more so than last year or the year before.
‘She talked more about that anniversary than her recent first wedding anniversary.’
