But one thing we are sure she didn’t bargain for – or anticipate- is her parents (Matthew and Tina) getting a divorce.
Beyonce’s parents Matthew and Tina have been married over 29 years, with Matthew serving as Beyonce’s manager and Tina was once her stylist.
Tina Knowles (55) according to documents filed with the Harris County Court Clerk, in Texas, filed for divorce from her manager husband Matthew Knowles (58) on November 11th 2009. NET obtained a copy of the divorcee petition, and it’s pictured below
There have been rumors that the couple has been separated for some years.
Reports say Tina filed for divorce after Matthew allegedly fathered a love child with another woman- actress, Alexsandra Wright.
The couple released a statement to the Associated Press saying “The decision to end our marriage is an amicable one. We remain friends, parents, and business partners, if anyone is expecting an ugly messy fight, they will be sadly disappointed. We ask for your respect of our privacy as we handle this matter.”

What country are you people from who are posting on this website. I cant understand a word you are saying. Beyonce & mama, far as hubby goes, once a dog, always a dog. If it is true they have been living separt for years, then the mother knew way back when. And it was only until the public got win of what was going on and the public embarrasment that goes along with that, then and only then she went forward with the divorce…good for you mama, dont be nobodies door mat..UGOGIRL….:)
