Hilde Guri Bohlin, Norway’s permanent delegate to the United Nations Educational and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has invited Nigerians to apply for the Ibsen Scholarship 2012.
The award was initiated by the Norwegian Government to reward individuals, organizations or institutions within the artistic and cultural community, for innovative projects in the field of drama and performing arts.
The award is also for projects that act as incentives for critical discourse on existential and society- related subject matters concerning Henrik Ibsen and his plays.
The Scholarship funds amount to 1,000,000 NOK (approximately $170,000 or N25.5m). Interested and qualified candidates are to apply online on or before April 30, 2012.
