American rapper, Kevin Gates will have to serve up to 180 days behind bars for kicking a female fan in the chest last year at one of his concerts.
Yesterday, Wednesday, October 26, a judge ordered the ‘2 Phones’ rapper to serve 180 days at Polk County Jail after a jury found him guilty of misdemeanor battery.

The charges stem from an incident in which Gates was caught on camera kicking a female fan in the chest at a concert he had in Florida.
Gates has claimed his innocence from the jump, saying he was defending himself under Florida’s ‘Stand your Ground’ law, but the jury wasn’t buying it.

The state requested Gates receive 60 days in jail with a one-year probation sentence, but the judge decided to triple their request by giving him 180 days instead.
