The remains of late boxing legend Muhammad Ali, has arrived in his hometown Louisville, Kentucky where he’ll be laid to rest later this week.
An airplane carrying his casket, which was wrapped in a black cloth bearing Arabic scripture in gold on it, arrived from Arizona where he passed away on Sunday at the age of 74 ahead of a public funeral procession and service expected to draw huge crowds.
It is understood that Ali himself helped plan the public service.
After Ali’s body arrived in his hometown, the Mayor of Louisville Greg Fischer tweeted: ‘Ali is now home.’

Bob Gunnell the spokesman for the Ali family said his body was accompanied by his wife, Lonnie, and other family members and friends.
Once the body was offloaded, police escorted the casket from the airport to the funeral home.
