Those who are expecting singer 9ice and his estranged wife Toni Payne to announce a reunion, and move back together should perish the thought for now.
As we reported last week, the pair had been seeing with the hope of saving their marriage and getting back on as a couple. Toni, we’re told, has been particularly enthusiastic about the reconciliation, and we can now confirm that she it was, who initiated talks in the first place.
Emails and instant messages had been going back and forth for a while; before 9ice and Toni met to talk about their future together.
And, even though 9ice, who now has a set of twins from his Abuja-based partner, has kept the lines with Toni open, his loyalists tell us ‘He’ll never go back into her arms‘.
Talks have now broken down, we have confirmed from sources close to both parties. And they tell us it’s primarily because ‘9ice is no longer interested‘.
‘Toni has been talking to him about their son, and their home and their future. She’s doing all she can to see that she saves her home and put the family back on track. She’ll call 9ice and pray for him and talk to him about their relationship. And even though 9ice gives her audience and keeps in touch, he has repeatedly told her coming back together is ‘out of the question’ for now.
The musician told his friends last week, that what’s paramount on his mind right now is finishing work on his new album, as well as getting a University degree.
Toni meanwhile is celebrating her career success – basking in the multiple nominations her acts have earned at this year’s Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA) and The Headies.
‘She has everything going for her really‘ a close friend tells us. ‘She may not have so much money right now, but she’s building something that’s solid and promising. And I guess she’s just doing what every decent woman would do I try to save her home…‘
She has 9ice’s mom on her side already. Who knows what’ll happen, with time…?

she didn’t betray 9ice … and aren’t you happy she wants to come back to her husband’s house .. even when u thought she was fighting with him .. they were talking… i’m happy she wants to go back to 9ice and i believe everything will work for her …

People, SEPARATION is very difficult once activated, better conceived, not realized than occurred.
When it happens the MAN is more hurt, unless in otherwise cases.
Lets just pray that 9ice & Payne can see the better side of each other again…
No one knows exactly what really happen between dis couples but obviously something isnt right…..but whatever that might have went wrong….toni payne must av bin the cause! Cos why is she so desperate, despite the fact that the guy has moved on wit his life with a set of twins to show for it…..me no knw wetin dis woman do o(rumours apart now) but she is definately regrettin it and really wants to make it right!
What ever happened betw them only God knows but my own is simple the devil u know is better then the angel u dont know,TONI was there before u became a star believe me u, if anything happens to ur career today ur iya ibeji will take off and leave u,nobody is perfect,wat is the assurance that this new relationship would work and how come they have children so soon if the babe in question is not desperate.Thank God things are working out for Toni, but if he does not want u back, u should move on with ur life God will surely give u someone better who would appreciate & love u.Just keep trusting him.
Guy talk, u guys are all the same, it takes the Grace of God to be in a marriage.I can bet most of the guys on this page are still single, or also seprated from there wives. If only u guys can just sit down for once and think about the joy and happeness in growing old in the same house with ur wife, both of u raiseing ur children together till they are old enough to have a home of there own, and also puting them through on how to have a happy home. then maybe u will undertand d pain of having a broken home.Anyways they say its a mans world so they get away with any think but as a woman u dont get that oppotunity.

I just have one thing to say, how come 9ice has never come out to say he has a lover who gave birth to twins somewhere. As for me the story of the twins is a lie, until i hear from 9ice himself because its not everything I read inside the paper that i believe. Imagine, if he had twins he would make so much noise because he claims his first child publicly but not the twins, for me they do not exist. all newspaper lies

Toni has been there all d way,though she slipped and fell at a certain point.I see the situation they are in as a test to wateva the hav professed 4 eachother. Its a common knowledge that celebrity marriages don’t last but I think its time things change.9ice and toni needs to do some soul searching,they had an admirable begining things could still get better if they give it a chance.
I know 9ice is a gud man but d issue on d ground now only god know aparth 4rom dis unless d couple spoke out what is behind dis seperation.
All being said. No one knows what actually happened. Both parties will always speak in their personal defense. The underlying truth is that if truthfully 9ice is a man,he will acknowledge toniz efforts and return back to his home but keep taking care of his twins. I regard Toni coz despite d hurt n stories,she’s still fighting to keep her home n not given up. Well done girl. Also,a man who after 3yrs of separation has not filed for a divorce ain’t ready to go no where n if Toni persists,he’s coming back home.it’s external influence,strong head and determination to prove a point dats driving him. Darlyn Toni,regardless of wat may v been,keep fighting n keep praying n don’t let anything get u off course. Ur joy is soon come.
