American hip hop act, Tausheed Epps better known as 2 Chainz, will not be performing in the widely-anticipated Jameson Party Live concert in Kenya anymore due to contractual disagreement between the artiste and the organisers.
With the concert formerly billed to hold on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Kenya’s Capital, Nairobi, Marketing manager of Radio Africa Group, Caroline Mutoko, made the announcement via her Twitter page early today, October 31, 2014.
Birthday Sex rapper, 2Chainz, also took to his Instagram page to confirm the development, apologising to his fans for the cancellation of the concert but the rapper said all hope is not lost regarding him heading to Africa to perform as he revealed that they are working on rescheduling the concert for Friday, December 12, 2014.
Born on September 12, 1977), 2 Chainz was formerly known as Tity Boi and was first known for being one-half of the southern hip hop duo, Playaz Circle, alongside his longtime friend and fellow rapper, Earl “Dolla Boy” Conyers.
In February 2012, Epps signed a solo record deal with Def Jam Records, an imprint of Universal Music Group, releasing his debut studio album, Based on a T.R.U. Story to mixed reviews but with the three successful singles: ‘No Lie,’ ‘Birthday Song,’ and ‘I’m Different,’ all of which charted in the top 50 of the Billboard Hot 100 and were all certified Gold or higher by the RIAA, along with the album being certified Gold.
His second studio album was titled B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time and was released on September 11, 2013.
