It’s no longer news that NET newspaper has gone out of print after 216 editions. The 16-page newspaper debuted on April 22, 2010 and has become the authoritative source of everything entertainment in Nigeria.
When NET publisher, Ayeni Adekunle, dropped the bomb hours after the public presentation of 2face Idibia’s biography ‘A Very Good Bad Guy’ on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, the industry expressed shock.
But many agreed it was the right move at the right time.
As the paper’s valedictory edition landed on newsstands recently, one thing was clear: this 67 month-old journal wasn’t going down without some drama.
NET’s last edition was a colourful and controversial collection, full of blank pages and smileys – with bold plugs reminding readers to visit ‘www.thenet.ng’, where the outfit will continue to ply its trade.
The Internet of course noticed, as this post shows.
Now, let’s take you through a journey of how to access those big stories that shook the Nigerian Showbiz Industry from NET ‘on the go’.
Bookmark them, share with family, friends and colleagues, but more importantly, enjoy them.
