According to Ghana’s myjoyonline.com Rockstone who had earlier declared publicly his intention to join the hiplife group, confirmed on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 that he is now a member, replacing former member Promzy, while stressing that the agreement was ‘just by words.’
The rapper reportedly said he was supposed to perform with the group at the 4Syte Music Video Awards for the formal introduction as the new member but was on another show that same day.
‘I was supposed to get on stage with them…that would have been my first appearance,’ he told myjoyonline.com, adding that ‘We might do it at the Back in the Day Concert.‘
VIP was made up of Joseph Nana Ofori (Prodigal), Abdul Hamid Ibrahim (Lazzy, now Zeal) and Emmanuel Ababio (Promzy) before Promzy)s exit in 2013 after almost two decades of recording and performing together.
