Previous winners of the Best African Act include Sauti Sol (2014), LCNVL (2013), D’Banj (2012 & 2007), Freshlyground (2006) and 2Face (2005).
The award ceremony will be hosted by Ed Sheeran and Ruby Rose on Sunday October 25, 2015 at the Mediolanum Forum in Milan.
Diamond Platnumz will now go up against the winning act from India to be named Best Africa/India Act – and you can help him win. Voting is now open on mtvema.com until October 24, 2015.
