Registration closed on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 with a panel made up of Jesse Jagz, Mannie of Cool FM, NotJustOk, NET and Starcom Media currently revising all entries in the Emerging Stars Contest.
From the several hundred songs received during the week-long entry period, a shortlist of Top 10 tracks will eventually be picked and showcased on the Star Music App for public voting later this month.
Now, for the contest, the selection of which will be based on originality, depth of lyrics, vocal delivery, as well as general quality of the composition, participants should be very happy as one of Nigeria’s leading telecoms provider, Airtel has joined ranks with Cool FM and Star Music on the competition.
Top 10 artistes will go home with several prizes courtesy of Airtel Nigeria, including an iPhone6, Samsung devices and Lumia phones. The top 3 acts who emerge from the voting process will perform on The Trek while the overall winner also gets a super collaboration with Jesse Jagz, along with nationwide promotional support from Cool & Wazobia FM.
