For two years, Nigerian filmmaker and director extraordinaire, Kemi Adetiba and her team worked tirelessly to produce her highly anticipated movie, ‘King of Boys’ which was premiered last night in Lagos.
The movie premiere which had a host of A-list actors including Adesua Etomi, Ireti Doyle, Sola Sobowale, Ebuka Obi Uchendu in attendance saw the director, Kemi Adetiba break down in tears as she read her opening speech.
The movie “King of Boys” follows the story of Alhaja Eniola Salami, a businesswoman and philanthropist with a checkered past and a promising political future. Salami is a pillar of society — loved by many, feared by most, and truly known by a select few. As her political ambitions see her outgrowing the underworld connections responsible for her considerable wealth, she’s drawn into a power struggle that threatens everything she holds dear.
